Easiest Shortbread Ever!

These are the easiest biscuits that you will ever make! They only contain 3 ingredients and they taste so delicious. The reason I put these on is because the Christmas season is approaching and they make excellent Christmas gifts when put in a tin. To make them a little more exciting you can dip these in chocolate, add lemon or orange zest or you can make the biscuits chocolate flavoured  by adding 120g self-raising flour and 15g cocoa powder instead of the quantities stated below. It is very important that butter is used in this recipe for the very best flavour.

100g softened butter
50g caster sugar
150g self-raising flour

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (160 fan/gas 4).

Measure the butter and sugar into a bowl and beat them together.

Add the flour and use your hands to form a dough.

Roll the dough out and cut into your preferred shape.

Place them on a greased tray and bake for 15-20 minutes.

Merry Christmas!
