Today is a very special day; Our 1st guest post! Just in case you don't know a guest post is when somebody else makes a recipe and sends me it with pictures and comments to put on the blog.
Todays guest post is super easy iced gingerbread from Megan and Ciera. I am told that they are very easy for anybody of any ability to make and are very, very tasty. NB: The quantity of biscuit depends on your size of cutter.
7oz plain flour
3tsp ground ginger
1tsp mixed spice
3oz margarine
2tsp golden syrup
2oz granulated sugar
1 dessert spoon water
1tsp bicarbonate of soda
currant or lemon peel (optional)
icing pens
Melt and warm margarine, syrup, sugar and water in a pan or in a microwaveable bowl.
Sieve and mix in the dry ingredients.
Roll out the dough and cut out the shapes.
Bake at 190 C/gas 6 for 5-8 minutes.
Ice with icing pens.
